Benefits of Dance
In Brazil, at the beginning of the 1990s, the wave of lambadamus music slowly ebbed away. Children of the 80s will surely remember the song “Lambada” by Kaoma.
However, the dance-loving Brazilians did not want to give up the Lambada dance and started dancing Lambada to Zouk music from the French West Indies. As the music was slower, the Lambada changed and enriched by elements of other dance styles was born the Brazilian Zouk tradicional. Nowadays, dance is often supplemented by different influences such as contemporary, contact import or hip hop.
